All set for the doubles semi-finals at Sofia Open

Simone Bolelli and Fabio Fognini went on in their run in doubles tournament at Sofia Open 2022. The Top-seeded Italians rallied trough the Bulgarian pair Alexandаr Donski/Alexandеr Lazarov 6:4, 6:3 and kept their chances to win their third tour-level title of the season and to move up than the 10th-place in the Pepperstone ATP Live Doubles Teams Rankings

The second seeds – Rafael Matos and David Vega Hernandez, also reached the semi-finals and continued their chase of a fourth ATP Trophy since first teaming in April. The Spaniard-Brasilian pair left the Bulgarians without any participants any more after defeating the suprises of the tournament – Petr Nesterov and Yanaki Milev 6:4, 6:4.

The German Oscar Otte, eight seed in the singles draw, take small revenge for his disappointing loss in the second round in singles, and along with compatriot Fabian Fallert made his pay to the doubles semi-final defeating Ivan Sabanov and Matej Sabanov, Serbia, 7:6 (4), 6:3.

Hugo Nys from Monaco and Jan Zielinski from Poland, seeded N4, took the last sport in the Final Four, defeating experienced pair from Kazakhstan Andrey Golubev and Aleksandr Nedovyesov  6:1, 7:5.
