Earlier today Ernests Gulbis and Mirza Basic managed to take a place in the main draw
Two Slovakians – Martin Klizan and Jozef Kovalik, filled the main draw spots at 2018 DIEMA XTRA Sofia Open.
Klizan, who played in the semis in 2016 (lost to Viktor Troicki), and quarterfinalist last year, won Salvatore Caruso 1:6, 6:4, 6:3 in 102 minutes. In first round of the main draw Klizan will meet Aleksandar Donski, the Bulgarian Indoor champion for 2018.
Kovalik had much less troubled match against Oscar Otte and won 6:3, 6:3 in 64 minutes. His next opponent in Sofia is going to be Radu Albot (MDA).
Earlier today Ernests Gulbis and Mirza Basic managed to take a place in the main draw. The Latvian will play next Victor Troicki and Basic will meet Sergyi Stakhovsky.
