Lucky Loser Majchrzak stuns Bulgarian hero Kuzmanov to play his first ATP QF

Kamil Majchrzak is living his dream in Sofia. The 25-years-old Polish player reached his maiden ATP 250 quarterfinal. He won the Bulgarian hero Dimitar Kuzmanov 7:5, 6:1 at Sofia Open 2021 and guaranteed QF match against a Serbian player.

Majchrzak was defeated in the 2nd round qualifying by top-seeded Pedro Martinez 4:6 6:7 (4). In his first match in Sofia, the Pole won Maxime Cressy 4:6, 6:4, 6:3.

He got the chance to compete in the main draw after the fourth seed Alexander Bublik of Kazahstan, withdrew due to a right shoulder injury.

In Top 8 Majchrzak will face the winner between Laslo Djare and fifth seed Filip Krajnovic.
