Mannarino moved past Pavel Kotov 6:2, 7:6(2) to move to within one win of his third tour-level title of the season. The second seed, who has earned a personal-best 42 tour-level wins this year, saved the one break point he faced to advance to his fourth final of 2023 after 87 minutes.
Earlier this year, the World No. 25 won trophies in Newport (Outdoor/Hard) and Astana (Indoor/Hard). In June played one more final – at Mallorca, but lost to Christopher Eubanks. He won two more titles in his career – outdoor on hard at Winston Salem in 2022 and on grass at ‘s-Hertogenbosch.
In Sofia, he played once in the semi-finals in 2020 but lost to the future champion Jannik Sinner.
He will face in the final the British prodigy Jack Draper, who is still to lose a set in the tournament.
The tournament is held with the support of Inbet, Nova Broadcasting Group, А1, Diema Extra, Electrohold, Sofiamed, First Investment Bank, Europa Bullion, the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Ministry of Tourism.
