One of the most significant sports events in Bulgaria, the Sofia Open tennis tournament, will once again be broadcast exclusively on Nova Broadcasting Group channels. The prestigious ATP 250 series tournament will present some of the most elite tennis players in the world for the eighth time in a row from 4th to 11th November in Sofia. The matches can be followed on the sports channel DIEMA SPORT 3, part of the DIEMA XTRA, as well as online on the PLAY DIEMA XTRA streaming platform.

Sofia Open 2023 tournament will be held at the Arena Sofia and the Sofia Hall, after the Bulgarian Tennis Federation won the right to organize the competition, which was supposed to take place in Tel Aviv, but was cancelled. The competition will feature five of the top seven US tennis players at the moment, three of whom are in the Top 15.
Top seeded is Taylor Fritz (#10), and besides him, Francis Tiafoe (#14), Ben Shelton (#16), Sebastian Korda (#24) and Mackenzie McDonald (#42) have applied.
A total of 16 tennis players from the Top 50 will arrive in the Bulgarian capital, including one of the former champions of the Sofia Open – the first winner of the title Roberto Bautista Agut, who lifted the cup in 2016. Among the stars of the tournament in 2023 will also be Lorenzo Musetti, Adrian Mannarino, Alejandro Davidovich Fokina, Jan-Lennard Struff, Sebastian Baez.
This is the 2nd time after 2020 that Sofia Open is the season-closing tournament of the regular ATP season as only ATP Finals, Davis Cup Finals and Next Gen left to be played.
