The best junior and an ex number 26 in the world will play in Arena Armeec
The organizers ot Garanti Koza Sofia Open announced the list for the qualifying round for the tournament, which will be held between 5 and 12 of February in Arena Armeec in Sofia.The supposed first seed Radu Albot (number 96 in Emirates ATP Rankings) was lucky to enter the main draw after Australian player John Millman withdrew due to injury. Top seeded for the qualification round will be Lukas Rosol. The Czech played in the main draw in Sofia last year. His career highest ranking was 26th in 2014 and the brightest moment was his win against Rafael Nadal at Wimbledon in 2012.
It is worth attention the presence of the World No. 1 junior– Stefanos Tsitsipas. The 18-years old Athens born player captured Wimbledon junior doubles title (w/Raisma) and became the first Greek tennis player with a Grand Slam title in the history. Currently Tsitsipas is number 206 in the Emirates ATP Rankings.14 players will enter in the qualifying round draw. There will be two “wild cards”. The draw will be held on 4th f February, and the matches will be played on 5th and 6th. The best four players will enter the main draw.
