Sofia Open 2023’s Double Semi-final Field is Set.

The formet champion here – Nikola Mektic reached another semi-final. With Briton Julian Cash he won another match in Sofia winning Americans Evan King and Reese Stalder 6:3, 6:3.

On their way to the final stay Ariel Behar from Uruguay and Adam Pavlasek from Czechia, who continued their streak of two-sets wins against Simone Bolelli (Italy) and Matwe Middelkoop (Netherlands) 7:6(2) 7:5.

On the bottom part of the draw Gonzalo Escobar from Ecuador and Aleksandr Nedovyesov from Kazakhstan. The couple had to play third set against the local heroes – Yanaki Milev and Petr Nesterov but grabbed the win 4:6, 6:3, 10-5.

Their next opponents – Australians Max Purcell and John Patrick Smith needed third set too. They won Andrey Golubev (Kazakhstan) and Denys Molchanov (Ukraine) 6:4, 3:6, 10-8 in the most thrilling doubles match today.

The semi-finals are set for tomorrow.
