Jan-Lennard Struff reached his first Sofia Open semi-final. The third seed defeated Hungarian Fabian Marozsan 7:6 (3), 4:6, 6:4 in almost 2 hours.
The German is seeking his first tour-level title in Sofia, having held championship point in Stuttgart in June against Frances Tiafoe and losing in the final of the ATP Masters 1000 in Madrid to Carlos Alcaraz.
The current world #28 is surging towards the Top 20 and, in the last months, is showing the best form of his career. It will be his 12th career ATP semi-final and first on hard court since Sankt Peterburg in 2021 (l. to Tayler Fritz).
The tournament is held with the support of Inbet, Nova Broadcasting Group, А1, Diema Extra, Electrohold, Sofiamed, First Investment Bank, Europa Bullion, the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Ministry of Tourism.
